tips[0] = "STORING COFFEE: Unopened coffee can be stored in a cool, dry place like a cupboard or pantry for up to 6 months without spoilage.

If you are storing unopened coffee for longer periods of time, you should place the coffee in the freezer, although your coffee will always be fresher if you purchase a little at a time and re-purchase as needed.

Once the coffee package has been opened, simply close the packaging, push the excess air out of the one-way valve and store in the refrigerator for up to a month. The one-way valve will prevent the refrigerator's dehydrated air from drying out your coffee. Air is your coffee's worst enemy so storing your coffee in a canister which can be vacuum sealed is the best way to ensure freshness, although not necessary during normal consumption."
tips[1] = "BREWING COFFEE: We recommend using 1 level tablespoon of coffee per 6 oz. of water as a starting point and +/- from there depending on your personal preferences."
tips[2] = "FOR A STRONGER BREW: For espresso coffee (stronger coffee), you can use your normal coffee pot and double-brew.

To double-brew, brew your coffee as normal, and then place the freshly-brewed coffee back into the container you put the water for the original brew. Leave the old coffee grounds in the filter and brew again. You may want to wash out the entire coffee-maker after each double-brew use."
tips[3] = "USE AN INSULATED COFFEE POT: We recommend using a coffee-maker with an insulated coffee pot which prevents heat loss, rather than a coffee pot with a hotplate. Insulated coffee pots do not have a hotplate and thus cannot burn the coffee if the coffee remains in the coffee pot for an extended amount of time. The insulated pot retains the heat of the originally brewed coffee for up to 12 hours. Krups makes good insulated coffee pots."
tips[4] = "USE FILTERED WATER: The coffee you drink is made up of 97% water. It only makes sense to use the freshest, purest water you can."
tips[5] = "ICED COFFEE: Don't water down an iced coffee with regular ice cubes. Pour coffee into your ice trays, allow to cool, and then place in the freezer. These coffee cubes are great whole or crushed."
